By supporting clinical trial developmental programs, we want to be at the forefront of improving existing therapies, and of providing novel therapies to give a better life for IBD patients. The clinical trial team was started in 1994 by Paul Rutgeerts.

Over the last 15 years the team expanded from 3 persons to a team of 8 study coordinators, one physician and 3 IBD specialists as principal investigators. The team handles yearly 20 to 30 different trials, both investigator initiated trials and pharma-sponsored clinical trials, phase 1 to phase 4.
